Job Title: Humanitarian Youth Field Coordinator

TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT Humanitarian Youth Field Coordinator Hiring Office: OUDA for UNFPA Egypt CO project with Ministry of Youth and Sports Duty station: Qalyoubia and Sharkia Purpose of consultancy: In view of UNFPA’s humanitarian response activities in Egypt in support of the Syrian refugees as well as Egyptians affected by the Syrian crisis, MOYS and UNFPA Egypt Country Office (CO) require additional field implementation, reporting and monitoring support to ensure the timely delivery of response and high quality activities and services.

- UNFPA Egypt has developed its intervention plan focusing on Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Reproductive Health (RH) with particular emphasis on youth in line with Egypt’s Refugee Response Plan for Syria (3RP), UNFPA Strategic Framework for the Syria crisis.

- Based on the above, a humanitarian youth field coordinator is recruited by OUDA with the aim to intensify efforts and responses to the crisis.

- He/she will be supporting the Ministry of youth and Sports and UNFPA Egypt humanitarian operations in order to ensure that all youth interventions and efforts are implemented and coordinated in such a manner to ensure quality, timely, and effective responses to the needs of affected populations of concern and that operational responses in all UNFPA supported sectors mainstream youth priorities.

- The youth humanitarian coordinator will be reporting to and shall be guided by MOYS project manager and UNFPA youth and humanitarian team.

- The selected consultant will assist in the field monitoring and implementation of the UNFPA supported activities at Youth Centers in coordination with MOYS focal points at the Qalyoubia and Sharkia youth centers offering humanitarian activities.

- Scope of work:(Description of services, activities, or outputs): Coordinate the activities on national level in collaboration with MOYS staff and UNFPA programme officer: 1- Follow up on all MOYS related activities (trainings, meetings, development of MOYS and UNFPA publications on safe space activities, social media updates, trainings and GBV case management, RH referral at youth centers .

- ) on national level and be actively engaged with MOYS and UNFPA team in the planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of activities; 2- Assist and conduct any of the activities of the adolescent and youth strategies program in partnership with all UNFPA CO partners ([removed] Y-PEER, civil society actors and government counterparts); 3- Support in the administrative and financial reporting for the implemented field level activities in accordance with UNFPA Co and MOYS rules and regulations 4- Compile training and activity reports and be responsible for their archiving and follow up in collaboration with MOYS designated focal point; 5- Update MOYS youth training database.

- Duration and working schedule: Nine Months (April-December) Place where services are to be delivered: MOYS/UNFPA Egypt Co and at activities sites Delivery dates and how work will be delivered ([removed] electronic, hard copy etc.

- ): Field coordinator is expected to report to MOYS project with UNFPA with regular field visits to youth activities in 23 governorates.

- Monitoring and progress control, including reporting requirements, periodicity format and deadline: Y-PEER Centre field coordinator should submit monthly electronic report to his supervisor includes related links, sub-reports and other relevant indicators.

- Supervisory arrangements: MOYS/UNFPA program officers Expected travel: N/A Field coordinator expected to follow up closely on field activities at 10th of Ramadan City (Sharkia) and Al Obour City (Qalyoubia) with some travel to Aswan if needed.

- Job details and requirements : Required expertise, qualifications and competencies, including language requirements: Education: University degree in social science, physical education, or any relevant subject to young people engagement and skills building.

- Experience: 1.

- 2 Years in project coordination/community youth leader 2.

- Relevant experience in health promotion, life skills and innovative reproductive health campaigns among young people 3.

- Experience in Y-PEER and other youth-led programs is an asset.

- 4.

- Experience in working with governmental institutions and using sports and educational/awareness programing is an added value Languages: Advanced fluency in Arabic language and working knowledge of English is required.
