Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Assistant Manager – Retail Banking

Fields of Work: Banking / Financial Services Job Description: Role Purpose: To ensure the business activities are compliant with the relevant regulations and standards.

- They will also be involved in establishing suitable monitoring and control processes in order to oversee the activities carried out by the relevant business areas Key Accountabilities of the role Ensure compliance across the wide scope of Retail Banking Group Educate and advice senior wholesale banking staff on regulatory and compliance related issues.

- Identifying new and emerging risks from business and regulatory developments and assessing their impact on the business and the bank.

- Assist in review of the regulatory requirements of the regulatory authorities to ensure that these are incorporated into policies and procedures Provide timely regulatory opinion and guidance to Retail Banking.

- Ensure appropriate arrangements are in place for meeting regulatory obligations.

- Provide compliance advice on the design and restructuring of new products, services, process and systems.

- Liaise with Regulatory Authority to obtain the required approval for products/services rendered by Retail Banking.

- Ensure products/services application are compliant with regulatory authority requirement/conditions Design policies and procedures to report and eliminate the risk of regulatory breaches and damage to Bank’s reputation.

- Ensure the development and maintenance of good relationships and key internal and external stakeholders.

- Provide Training and workshops on Regulatory issues.

- Job Requirements: Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role: Strong knowledge of the UAE Regulations/Rules Strong knowledge of International Compliance Standards/Practices Awareness of the Laws & regulations of the respective Jurisdictions.

- Strong knowledge of Bank's products, policies & procedures.

- Strong interpersonal skills; Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills are required Strong negotiation skills.

- Ability to take instant decisions & proper Time Management Ability to balance between compliance requirement & business needs.

- Training and teaching skills.

- Fluent in English/Arabic Confidence and experience to manage relationships with senior business partners.

- Minimum 7 years banking experience out of which minimum 5 years should be in Bank’s Compliance.
