Job Title: Senior Specialist, MBA Programs, School of Business

Reports to: Manager, MBA Programs Purpose: The job holder plans and implements a closely associated set of program initiatives for an identified operational entity of the University, participates in the generation of program resources and in the design and development of program operating goals, objectives, and protocols.

- In addition, he/she serves as primary point of both internal and external representation and liaison with respect to program implementation and operational matters, provides consultation and support to students and faculty as appropriate as well as functional and administrative support for MBA Programs and assists with coordination of marketing material, recruitment activities, application process, and staff travel and residency week activities.

- Principal Accountabilities: EMBA Program: Serves as primary liaison with internal and external representation on all matters relating to program activities Communicates with current and potential students and alumnus in a timely, positive, and courteous manner Plans, analyzes, coordinates and administers all facets of the day-to-day operations of the program and activities related to the position, data management, marketing, promotion of multifaceted events including alumni engagement, residency weeks, graduation, guest speakers, special events, and supervise staff and/or student, as assigned Recommends, implements and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations, as appropriate to the unit and its operating goals and objectives Markets the program and follows up on program and University requirements and proper documentation Coordinates advertising, promotions, and premiums to support the program’s recruiting and retention goals Initiates market research on competitive programs by exploring other programs to ensure that our program is always up-to-date Supports the university in achieving stated program goals and objectives.

- Work involves developing and maintaining productive collaborative work relationships and assessing and responding to students’ needs and applying program policies and practices Observes the program being held to accomplish the following goals: Provide seriousness and involvement of EMBA students Monitor the program in terms of: Faculty performance in regard to level of interaction between faculty and participants, attire and attitude of faculty, behaviorism of faculty and respect of faculty to participants, to schedule, to time, etc.

- Participants fitting in the program in terms of level, participation degree and language aptness Logistical and physical issues Arranges department-recruiting events, including class visit and information session planning, advertising, and venue arrangements Coordinates the process of faculty evaluation via AUC evaluation forms Attends all the EMBA modules during the weekends and weekdays MBA Program: Oversees the operations of the MBA programs Manages effective advising and registration of the MBA courses Analyzes the data from the database for reporting statistics to different parties Supervises the creation and maintenance of lists and databases of current students and MBA alum to create a channel of communication with them Supervises the compilation of the database and files of the new applicants Processes exemptions and files of new applicants for admission decisions Manages marketing of the MBA program with external marketing organizations Prepares work submitted for accreditation of the MBA program from Association of MBAs (AMBA) Regularly updating the Communication Unit in the School with the updates of the MBA website with the most recent events and announcements Schedules classes of the MBA program to ensure smooth operation and optimum utilization of resources Prepares and administers the budget and the planning matrix of the MBA and EMBA programs Continuously researching the programs offered by local competitors and other leading international business schools and to identify opportunities for development Prepares MBA annual report with all the MBA events and developments to be presented to the management on a regular basis Represents the MBA program in different settings inside and outside AUC Meets and negotiates with different companies to recruit new students and explore opportunities for scholarships and fellowships Manages coordination between the MBA program and other graduate programs Handles logistics relating to special events, such as graduation and orientation programs Responds to problems and inquiries of students and alumni promptly Supervises staff hired to assist in the administration work of the MBA Orients new MBA students to the program and accompany them through the orientation day, in addition to advising them for the courses to register and helping them through the registration process Responsible for all paperwork related to changes in the MBA program structure and content required for the MBA revamping / continuous improvement committee Organizes and manages all MBA events, like the MBA Tool Kit workshops, MBA information session Manages logistics related to local and international case competitions held for MBA students Administers and supervises the compilation of a database for the prospective candidates Performs any other related duties as assigned Requirements: Minimum Education Requirement(s): University degree in business administration or a related field MBA degree is an asset Experience: A minimum of five years of progressive experience including three years in a related field Experience in American style liberal education is an asset Skills: Excellent command of English and Arabic languages Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community Advanced communication, negotiation and presentation skills Leadership skills Ability to work in and lead teams High abilities for business development and marketing Exposure in local and regional markets (global experience is an addition) This position is open until November 26, 2019 Placement is based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
